Brief History
Protokol is a recent
addition to FHP, Elvis2 and Roofuz have been in this band for two years during
which time various members have passed
through its folds such
as a vocalist with a Jim Morrisson fetish, a keyboard player that loved
Supertramp to an unhealthy degree, a dj that could
fit into any kind of
music as long as it was drum and bass, and too many drummers for us to mention
without bursting into tears.
At the beginning of
the year 2002 we finally found a way to take the music we wanted to make
individually and combine it into something we could
call our own, thus
was born this thing we call FHP, an amalgam of beats, funk, and blues.
We hope you like what
we have to offer, we sure do, otherwise weŽd be doing something else.
Lets talk about gear and stuff
Funk Harmony Park
will use anything and everything they can get their hands on if it can be
coerced into making interesting sounds.
We try to make a
point of creating our own samples but were not proud, if we find something that
we like we will use it regardless
of its origin, if at
all possible we will attempt to disguise it so as not to be too obvious and
also we dont have a clue as to how one
goes about obtaining
the rights to using snippets of someone elses music or whatever so there we
have an additional motive for hiding
our source material.
If you recognize a
sound on one of our songs please dont sue us, we are really poor.
We dont want to talk
about what guitars, basses, or keyboards we use, none of that stuff matters as
far as we are concerned but if
somebody wants to
give us free gear we will gladly accept it, use and endorse it.
Have you heard our
music and enjoyed it? If so, spread the word, we think this is some neat stuff
and really want people to hear it.
